Alaskan Way Viaduct
Construction work to replace the southern portion of the Viaduct will begin in February, launching a period of several years that will see significant constraints on State Route 99, changing detour routes and an eventual temporary closure of this key north-south transportation route.

The Duwamish Transportation Management Association will host a community meeting on January 12, 2011, 8-9:30 AM. Thanks to the Seattle Mariners, the meeting will take place in the Diamond Club at SAFECO Field. RSVP for that event with Pam Romine via email or phone 206-762-2470.
A workshop about the new environmental impact statement for the deep bore replacement option for the viaduct is being held for freight operators on Monday, Dec. 6, at the Port of Seattle Commission Chambers. RSVP for that event by Dec. 3 to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The deadline for public comment on the EIS is Dec. 13, 2010. Comments will be responded to in the Final EIS, scheduled for publication in the middle of 2011. You can submit comments the following ways:
